…we do don’t we? I’ll do that next summer or when the kids have left home or when I retire… I’ll do that thing or have that conversation or work on that issue…
This is a reminder to: be who you need to be and say what you need to say; and to do what you love because who knows what tomorrow might bring…
Tomorrow may bring rainbows. But you need to be looking up to appreciate them 😇

True but we may not be here tomorrow 🙂

We have no control over when we leave, but we can spend each day as alive as possible; living in the moment. 😇

True, now is all we have and I want to make the most of it 🙂

I love this. It’s so very true. My resolution for this year is to live in the ‘now’ and to enjoy the moment because none of us know what’s around the corner.

I agree… But I seem to need to be reminded often which is why I write about it so often!!

I think we all need the reminders, regularly! It’s too easy to drift and to worry about the past and the future.

I heard someone give a fantastic presentation once about making the best of every season of your life and not putting things off until the wedding is over or you have kids or the kids are grown up and left the house etc. Can be easy to put life off but the only time we have is the present ☺. Thank you for the post

Thanks for commenting. I keep having to remind myself that now is all we really have, so tend to say it often on my blog. On the other hand I’ve made a number of new starts recently -things I’d been wanting to do and while I’m a novice at those I’m proud of what I’ve started to achieve. So it’s been a good way to start 2016. Thanks again for your comment 🙂

Thank you for this post. I always forget the Buddhist practice of saying hello to your death every morning as a reminder of living this day to the fullest and not letting words of love go unsaid.

I feel like I’m constantly reminding myself that ‘now’ is all I have – but I seem to need to keep hearing it!! Thanks for taking the time to comment 🙂

So true. Whilst it doesn’t hurt to have plans for the future, we have to be mindful of the present. No holding back on what you’re currently feeling, own the moment & avoid the regret of putting things off. Thanks for sharing!

I agree. Having plans can be great, and necessary but doing something now is the first step to taking control and stepping forward. I like how you’ve summed it up: ‘No holding back on what you’re currently feeling, own the moment & avoid the regret of putting things off.’ If I were your teacher I’d give you an A+ for reflecting back my thoughts!!! 🙂

“Never put off till tomorrow something that you can do today” was one of my Grandmother’s favorite pieces of advice. She must have realized that I am and always have been a hopeless prevaricator!

Yesterday is a fantasy, and tomorrow is a fantasy.
In terms of action, there is and forever will be… Now.
